What is an edible canvas?
Edible photos have become very popular in the cake decorating world, and rightly so, they are a fantastic product that allows photo quality edible prints to decorate your cakes. An edible canvas takes this concept to another level, using the latest technology we at Eat Your Photo are now able to print directly onto sugar paste which offers a whole new option in your cake making repertoire. Just like a canvas on a frame fills the entire area, then your edible canvas covers the entire area of your cake.
How do I apply it to my cake?
Just prepare your cake as you would normally, when you get to the stage of applying your sugar paste/roll out icing, replace this with the edible canvas (click here for pictures). That's all there is to it, you now have your cake totally covered in the image of your choice.
I've got an idea, can you print lots of small red hearts onto sugar paste for my valentine cake?
No problem, I am sure you will come up with lots of new ideas and applications for the new canvas print and we are happy to accomodate your projects.

What kind of celebrations are suitable?
Absolutely any kind of celebration can be made extra special with a canvas cake. Birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, weddings, home comings, house warmings, leaving parties, corporate entertainment and anything else you can think of.
How do I get my photo/image to you?
You can upload your image while placing your order or send a hard copy through the post to Beach's Bakery 48 Leabrooks Road, Somercotes, Alfreton, Derbys. DE55 4HB
I've got a very old photo, can it still be used?
Yes, the age of the photo is irrelevent, the edible reproduction will look exactly like the image you send.
Will I get my photo back?
Yes we will send your photo back with your completed order.
I want alterations, will you have to cut my photo?
No. Any alterations to your image are made to the scanned image on a computer. You will receive your photo back in it's original condition.
When e-mailing, which format should I use?
Preferably jpg, however we can accept many other formats, including word documents, powerpoint docs, excel spreadsheets, coreldraw images, tiff, bitmap, photoshop images, acrobat documents. Please e-mail us with special format requests. info@eatyourphoto.co.uk
Can I send a black & white photo?
Yes, you will receive a black & white edible canvas.
How long will it take?
If you select SPEED PROCESSING your order will be dispatched the same day by first class post. If you select royal mail special delivery you are guarateed to receive your image by 1pm the following day. Normal orders are dispatched within 1-2 working days.

How will I receive my edible canvas?
You will receive your order through the post. It is packed securely in a cardboard tube, rolled onto a food grade plastic tube wrapped in silicone paper. All this is wrapped in an air tight polypropylene covering.
What do I do when I receive my edible image?
If you are not using your image immediately, store at room tempertaure in it's packaging. Do not refridgerate.
What can I put my edible canvas onto?
Your image can be transfered onto celebration cakes, fairy cakes, muffins, biscuits, chocolates and any other substance you could use sugar paste/fondant icing on.
Does it taste nice?
Your edible canvas will taste the same as sugarpaste.
How long will it last?
Your edible canvas will last for up to a month.
How long before the party can I put it on my cake?
Cover your cake as you would normally, but if you are storing it for any lenght of time keep out of direct sunlight as this may cause the colours to fade.
How do I pay?
You can pay by cheque (payable to Beach's Bakery) or securely online with all major credit and debit cards.
